COURSE DETAILS

Commencement

In the month of July every Year

Admissions

25th May onwards every year

Eligibility

Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with 50% aggregate in Maths, Physics & Chemistry

Or

Any Higher qualification in MPC group at 10+2 level

Physical Fitness

A certificate issued by Registered Medical Practitioner having MBBS degree is mandatory for admission (Medical certificate is annexed with Prospectus & Application form)

Age

17 years at the time of admission

Fee Structure

Admission fee, course material fee, tuition fee & caution money deposit (as of now 3.18 lakhs to be paid to the institute for 3 years course)

Concession

Meritorious students will be given concession in tuition fee up to V semester.

Examinations

Semester examinations will be conducted from I to V semester at the institute and semester mark sheets will be issued to the passed students for each semester

On completion of 5 semesters a provisional certificate with consolidated mark sheet will be issued to the students by the institute. On completion of OJT , 3 years Course Completion Certificate will be issued by the institute.

During the course the students become eligible to appear in the following Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Certificate examinations conducted by DGCA

Paper - I : Air Law, Civil Aviation Requirements & Human Factors (on passing II Semester)

Paper – II : General Engineering & Maintenance Practices (on passing IV Sem)

Paper – III : On completion of 5 semesters and on passing Papers I & II, students are eligible to appear in any two of the papers pertaining to RN,ES or IS. The remaining can be attempted on completion of 3 years.

Note: From January 2013 onwards Modular Examinations are being proposed to be introduced by DGCA

Issue of Certificate

On passing Paper – III in relevant Category or all the Modules as applicable “Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Certificate” (BAMEC) will be issued to the students by DGCA.

On Job Training

Providing OJT to the students will be the responsibility of the institute. OJT will be provided on Dornier-228 aircraft and King Air C90A aircraft.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The students shall abide by the rules, regulations and standing orders of the institute in existence. Ignorance of the same will not be taken as an excuse for any reason or purpose.

To appear for any Semester Examination, 80% attendance is mandatory and the students are responsible for maintaining their 80% attendance.

The student shall not claim any sort of refund from the institute, after admission, even though they have not attended a single class.

Tuition fee and other dues if any will be paid by the students/Parents before the due date. In case the student leave the institute, earlier than the completion of the course, they are liable to forfeit the entire course fee and caution money deposit.

The student shall not stand debarred from any public examinations.

The students shall give an undertaking that they will not participate in strikes or form any union or any other activity which are not permissible as per the rules of the institute.

The students shall not conceal any fact/material/information while filling up the admission forms, nor submit any fake certificates.

As per the policy of the institute, any student can be suspended from AME course on the following reasons with due notices issued

a) Disciplinary ground

b) Continued absentism

c) Non-payment fee dues to the institute

Institute’s Students Suspension policy letter will be issued along with prospectus & application form
